North-European bumblebee network

On 6-7 May 2019 on the lead of La Humla Suse a bumblebee seminar took place in Norway with the participation of interested people from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Estonia. Future collaboration possibilities were also discussed and decided to apply for support from the Nordic Council of Ministers to organise an eye to eye meeting at least once a year and for different activities related with favouring wild pollinators. For now, the Nordic Council of Ministers has approved two one-year long applications for years 2020 and 2021. The focus of the network is on wild pollinators, especially bumblebees, and the promotion of their habitats – especially within agriculture.
