European Association for Potato Research
The European Association for Potato Research (EAPR) was established in 1957 and this year the Association celebrates 60 years of scientific and technical collaboration.
The European Association for Potato Research (EAPR) aims to to promote the exchange of scientific and technical information relating to all facets of potato breeding, production & protection, storage & utilisation between various countries, both in and outside Europe. We seek to encourage and assist international co-operation in this field.
The Association reflects the global interest in potato research and whilst the membership is primarily from European countries, there are members from another 32 countries. At present the Association has over 230 Ordinary members, 14 Sustaining members and 7 Honorary members. Membership is drawn from many countries in all five continents.
The aims of the EAPR are:
- To promote the exchange between various countries, both in and outside Europe, of scientific and technical information relating to all aspects of potato breeding, production protection and utilization;
- To encourage and assist international cooperation in these fields.
